GHL: Dynasty Hockey is an online ice hockey game where you are the General Manager and Owner of an entire hockey franchise. You control the teams, trades, finances, training, and strategies of your team. You can play in the competive tournament style play or you can play in a custom league with a small group of friends.
How the GHL works:
The GHL is completely free. Hockey matches are played three to four times a week. You manage your team with an internet browser. The GHL can be accessed by any internet connection in the world. You can login and manage your team at any time.
The game never ends. How will your team do season after season? Good management is required for a successful team. In the GHL, seasons last 90 days. The regular season is 78 days long. Playoffs are 9 days long. Followed by a 3 day off season.
Tournament League:
The tournament league has multiple tiers based on the skill of their teams. Every team is competing for a chance to advance to next best tier. Currently teams are starting at tier level 5 . The best tier in the tournament league is tier 1. Tier 1 has only one league with 20 teams. Tier 2 has twice as many teams (40) and leagues (2). Each tier has double the teams and leagues of the tier that is one better. At the end of each season teams have a chance to promote to a better tier level. Tournament leagues have a constant schedule.
It is currently day 58/90 of season 13 (the current season) which started on March 17, 2008 and will end June 15, 2008.
